Cedar Creek

I wanted to share this photo of my youngest Caitie that was taken on the weekend at Cedar Creek.  I was hesitating going back to this little spot since the resent floods, as I knew that it would have seen a great amount of water flowing through this beautiful little spot.  All the water has chewed up the banks and changed the flow of the water in many areas and I’m sure many locals have noticed this for themselves.  The luscious green has slowly returned to the grass and the trees, but the banks still show it’s nakedness with it’s bare floor and tree roots uprooted. The little stream has also lost some of it’s sparkle, but I’m sure, given time this little spot will flourish again to the full beauty that I know and love.  There are two drive in car parks with two areas to roam through……..but one is still in the process of being cleaned up.  We still had a lovely afternoon filled with peace and quiet, so I can’t wait to see how it looks next time we visit.
